Kim Zolciak has been dealt a serious blow in her ongoing custody battle with ex-husband Kroy Biermann after a judge in Georgia issued a temporary ruling over their four children.
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, who split from the ex-NFL player in May 2023 after 11 years of marriage, has temporarily lost primary physical custody of K.J., 14, Kash, 13, and 12-year-old twins Kane and Kaia.
According to court documents, Kim and Kroy will continue to share joint legal custody, but Kroy has been granted the final say on major decisions including education, religion, and non-emergency medical care.
The ruling follows Kroy’s emergency request for full custody, in which he claimed Kim was “unstable and unfit” and more focused on her public image than the wellbeing of their children.
She has strongly denied all allegations. Her legal team called the claims “unsupported” and said they would be addressed properly in court rather than through public statements.
Kim herself said she is focused on the next hearing, adding: “While I want this process to be over for my children more than anything, I am looking forward to a full court date when we will finally be provided with an opportunity to present the truth.”
This latest decision comes after earlier filings in which Kroy also accused Kim of “blatant mismanagement” of parenting responsibilities.
Kim has dismissed the accusations as an attempt to damage her reputation.
Despite the tension, a temporary parenting plan remains in place, with further court reviews expected in the coming months as the bitter legal battle continues to unfold.
