Kate Hudson sets the record straight on losing ‘Devil Wears Prada’ role

Kate Hudson finally shares the real reason behind turning down the iconic role in The Devil Wears Prada movie.

The role Hudson rejected it, eventually went to Anne Hathaway, which also earned her fame and popularity

Elaborating on her decision, Hudson mentions that it “wasn’t that I decided not to” while speaking on the latest episode of The Drew Barrymore Show on April 30.

The actress, who came for promoting her new movie Running Point, tells the Never Been Kissed actress, “It was like one of those things. There was, like, scheduling stuff.”

“It was in conversation and there were all these things happening and I decided not to,” says the 47-year-old.

Although Hudson expresses regret over declining the movie offer. she believes that Anne is the suitable choice for the Andy Sachs character in the movie.

“It happened exactly the way it was supposed to,” she adds.
