Abel Tesfaye honoured Brazilian fans with a new track before he puts an end to his famous alternate personality The Weeknd.
The 36-year-old musician brought out his famous collaborator Anitta during his recent performance, debuting a track for massive crowd.
Noticeably, Abel had a distinctive tune for the song with few netizens speculating that he sounds a lot different from his other projects.
The Blinding Lights hitmaker dressed in a black body suit as he danced in front of a huge screen with an animated music video playing in the background.
One of the X users questioned: “Why do artists say they’re retiring when they don’t?” while another netizen penned down: “This guy makes sounds my ears has never heard before.”
A third admirer shared a gif of the Grammy winner, captioning it: “The man knows how to make music!!” According to his fans, the new song sounds like a “phonk.”
The track puts the rumours swirling around after The Weeknd shared a video of himself in the studio.

Abel is expected to debut a new alter ego after announcing he is retiring his famous persona, creating hit tracks from his previous albums.
His last studio record Hurry Up Tomorrow was a commercial success, becoming his fifth album to top Billboard 200 chart.
