‘Practical Magic’ star alleges that Marilyn ‘horrifically abused’ her for years
Hollywood actress Evan Rachel Wood has recently made shocking allegations against her ex-fiancé Marilyn Manson.
The Practical Magic actress claims that Marilyn still gets followed by cars and harasses her five years after she accused him of “horrifically” abusing her.
Reflecting on the dynamics of her four-and-a-half-year relationship with Marilyn, whose real name is Brian Warner, Evan says that the singer is more of a “malignant narcissist, more of a cult leader”.
In her latest interview with The Times, the Barefoot actress states, “His circle, his sphere, it operated very much like a cult.”
Evan notes that she had to face repercussions after accusing Marilyn of sexual abuse.
The fact is, according to the Mildred Pierce actress, “you're up against an entire system which makes it twice as hard to leave and twice as scary to speak out”.
Although Evan went public with her accusations in 2021, the actress added that she still deals with harassment.
“There's a lot of intimidation that comes with that — trying to keep you quiet or to blackmail you, to ruin your reputation, to hack into your electronics,” she tells the outlet.
Evan adds, “I still get followed by cars. I still have phishing attempts on my computer. I still have numbers calling me over and over again.”
