Suzanne de Passe candidly recalled the night she first heard about The Jackson 5 in late 60s.
The 79-year-old looked back on her friendship of over thirty years with Michael Jackson at the premier of the new biopic Michael.
The veteran working with Berry Gordy at the time, told People how producer Bobby Taylor invited her to see a group of young boys.
"They get up there and sing four numbers acapella, and I was so taken," the American businesswoman and television producer noted.
Although Gordy was first sceptical and said "Kids? I don't want any kid acts", de Passe didn't stop there.
"I was a dog after a bone", the co-chairwoman of de Passe Jones Entertainment Group shared.
Moreover, she went on to explain, "And when he saw them, it was the beginning of this history."
De Passe reminisced on how Michael was just "a kid" as the group became more and more famous.
"He liked to hide in my room, He'd be behind the shower curtain and you'd see his little feet sticking out... He would go, 'Boo!'"
For thirty years, she called him "Casper" and he answered.
When asked of Jaafar Jackson's performance, she said, "They have a movie because of Jaafar," she said. "I think the big difference is Jaafar."
