Sterling K. Brown has surprising take on ‘painful’ injury

Sterling K. Brown is opening up about the injury he sustained in September of last year, which was tearing his Achilles tendon.

The wound is considered quite painful and the Paradise actor got injured while doing something athletic outdoors, and had revealed in a social media update that it had felt like someone stomping on his heel.

In a recent chat with Shipt CMO Alia Kemet in New York City the 50-year-old disclosed that it was “the most fulfilling injury that I’ve ever had” because it allowed him to spend time with his family.

Sterling shares sons 14-year-old Andrew and 10-year-old Amaré with wife Ryan Michelle Bathe and he revealed that they are currently the center of his existence and that he absolutely adores them.

“I had a forced rest recently where I tore my Achilles tendon, and that was not the way that I wanted to have the rest, but it was a blessing in disguise in that I got a chance to spend a good five, six, seven months just going to every soccer game, every practice, every basketball, every flag football [game],” he said.

Sterling noted that it fulfilling because he took advantage of the time the This Is Us actor got with his little ones, and called spending time with them magical.
