Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep shared a surprising exchange with K-pop star Wonyoung that quickly went viral.
The A-list actresses were stunned to discover that Wonyoung’s birth year is 2004, in the chat.
It happened during a Vogue Korea interview with IVE’s Jang Wonyoung discussing The Devil Wears Prada, and its sequel, which is slated to hit theaters on May 1st.
When Wonyoung asked about the release year of the first film, Hathaway confirmed it came out in 2006 before asking if Wonyoung had even been born then.
Wonyoung laughed off the question, disclosing she was only two years old when the film dropped, having been born in 2004.
The revelation left both Hollywood veterans visibly struggling to process the information, with Streep's reaction in particular becoming an instant meme after Vogue Korea added a playful effect to capture her expression.
The clip spread like wildfire across X, with fans losing it over the two iconic actresses visibly struggling to process just how young the IVE star really is.
One fan wrote, "Wonyoung age hit them hard."
Another netizen posted, "That moment always hits different, like talent doesn’t come with a timeline anymore, it just shows up early or late and surprises everyone."
It is pertinent to mention, Wonyoung, who debuted with IVE at just 17 and has since become one of K-pop’s most recognized global stars.
