Cher’s conservatorship request for son Elijah Blue Allman hit with verdict

Cher had filed for temporary conservatorship over her son Elijah Blue Allman and the judge has given her verdict on the filing.

The 49-year-old is currently facing two criminal charges in New Hampshire and is being held in a psychiatric hospital.

Meanwhile the Moonstruck actress claimed that he was gravely disabled and unable to manage his finances due to severe mental health issues.

However, a Los Angeles judge has denied the request, noting that the Deadsy member won’t be able to access the money that he receives from his late father Greg Allman’s trust because of the charges against him and is set to receive his next distribution on May 1.

"These distributions have been happening for years, as I understand it, so the fact that a petition was filed two weeks before the next distribution when that schedule has been known for a very long time doesn't necessarily qualify in my mind as an emergency,” the judge stated.

"A lot of people don't show up to court and get a default judgment and don't need a conservatorship, I am going to deny the temporary conservatorship without prejudice,” they added.

She went on say that she understands the concerns that Elijah’s family and friends have regarding his conduct but it is not enough to warrant probate conservatorship.
