Kate Cassidy is stepping back into the dating world, but with a love she says will never fade.
The 27-year-old influencer, who was left heartbroken by the tragic death of Liam Payne, has revealed she is ready to find love again, 18 months after losing the man she thought she’d spend her life with.
Liam, best known as a member of One Direction, died aged 31 in October 2024 after a devastating fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, a moment that shattered Kate’s world.
Now, in an emotional Instagram video, Kate has shared that she’s slowly opening her heart once more.
“I am ready to start dating again,” she admitted, while reflecting on the complex journey of grief.
“Love after loss is such a big chapter… I don’t know how it’s going to feel, but I do know I loved being in love.”
She also revealed her hopes for the future, saying she still dreams of marriage and having children and believes Liam would want that for her.
“If the roles were reversed, I’d want him to be happy too,” she said.
But any new romance will come with one firm condition: Liam’s memory must be embraced, not erased. Kate has made it clear she will always carry him with her.
“I will always love Liam,” she said. “I’ll always talk about him, laugh about him, cry about him. He wasn’t just famous — he was my boyfriend, my best friend.”
In a touching confession, she added: “I’ll think about him on my wedding day… every day for the rest of my life.”
