Kate Hudson spills on stepping away after Oscars run

Kate Hudson is opening up about why she stepped back after a busy awards season.

Speaking to the publisher at the Hollywood premiere of Netflix’s Running Point Season 2, the 47-year-old actress shared, "I took spring break with my kids and I just shut everything down,".

According to the People magazine, the pause comes after a major career moment, with the star earning a Best Actress nomination for Song Sung Blue and receiving praise for her role as Claire “Thunder” Sardinia opposite Hugh Jackman in the musical drama inspired by a Neil Diamond tribute band.

Moreover, she described awards season as more meaningful for the shared experience than the honours, especially her time with Rose Byrne, Renate Reinsve, Emma Stone, and Jessie Buckley.

"In reflection, I'm so lucky that I got to be able to have that experience. And I loved everybody on the ride with them. All of the people that were on that journey were so awesome, so fun, so together, and I just loved everything," she added.
