Megan Thee Stallion has recently lost cyberstalking injunction against blogger Milagro Cooper even though winning damages at trial.
In the court document obtained by Complex, a federal judge reportedly rejected Megan’s request for a permanent cyberstalking ruling to stop Milagro from alleged harassment, saying the rapper’s requests are “overboard”.
Interestingly, the judge reportedly mentioned that the jury’s verdict didn’t meet Florida’s strict legal action of cyberstalking.
For those unaware, Megan requested the court to ban the blogger from revealing her mental state, alcohol use or extended family.
But the judge rejected this request under the Florida law, injunctions could be used simply “to stop someone from uttering insults or falsehoods”.
Meanwhile, the court believed that the financial penalties were “legal remedy” as Megan was awarded $75,000 in damages in December.
In addition to the monetary damages awarded by the jury, the judge denied Megan's claim of an ongoing, immediate threat, noting that the original offending platforms and posts are now “defunct, deleted and inaccessible”.
At present, the rapper also confirmed the end of her relationship with NBA star Klay Thompson after less than a year of dating amid cheating allegations.
