Mark Ruffalo drops huge ‘Spider-Man’ MCU bombshell

Mark Ruffalo just sent the Marvel fandom into a complete meltdown.

In the clip making waves over the internet, the Hulk actor dropped a major tease, claiming that Spider-Man will go up against an alien in the future, adding "I promise you, 1000%" for good measure.

Fans flooded X (formerly Twitter) with reactions and plenty of excitement as the comment spread like wildfire all over social media.

One netizen wrote, "If this is leading to Spider-Man vs Venom in the MCU, we’re about to witness one of the most iconic rivalries finally done at full scale and I’m not ready for the chaos it’ll bring."

Another internet user posted, "This guy did it again."

A third social media user gushed, "Mark Ruffalo always spoiling Marvel movies."

Meanwhile, a sharp eyed fan went a step further, posting, "It is not really a spoiler at all. If you look at the shot of his hand in the Brand New Day trailer when he is coming out of the cocoon, his hand has a black and slimy texture just like Venom."

This is not the first time Ruffalo has set the internet on fire with a Marvel tease.

The actor has a well documented history of accidentally leaking details from Marvel projects, having once live streamed the first ten minutes of Thor Ragnarok on Instagram by mistake.

He has also let slip plot details in interviews on more than one occasion, which earned him a reputation as Marvel's biggest accidental spoiler.
