Sydney Sweeney cut from 'Devil Wears Prada 2' in shock edit

Hollywood’s hottest cameo has hit the cutting room floor and fans are not going to be happy.

Sydney Sweeney has reportedly been axed from the final version of The Devil Wears Prada 2 in a shock last-minute edit. 

The 28-year-old star had filmed a glamorous three-minute appearance, even playing herself, but insiders say her scene “just didn’t work structurally” and was ultimately scrapped.

.The sizzling sequel, due to land in cinemas on May 1, sees Anne Hathaway return as journalist Andrea Sachs alongside the icy and iconic Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestley. 

The ruthless Runway boss is famously inspired by fashion titan Anna Wintour, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the film’s glossy world.

Sydney’s blink-and-you-miss-it cameo was said to appear early on, featuring her being styled by Emily Charlton, played once again by Emily Blunt. 

But despite the buzz, producers made the tough call to cut it, reportedly thanking the Euphoria actress for her time while admitting the decision wasn’t easy.

Still, it’s not all bad news for fans craving star power. 

Lady Gaga has made the final cut, and she’s bringing the drama with a brand-new track, Runway, alongside rapper Doechii.

The film continues Andrea’s journey as she steps back into Miranda’s high-pressure orbit and this time as a features editor navigating a rapidly evolving fashion industry.
