Alan Osmond, who was the eldest of the Osmond brothers, passed away on April 20, 2026, leaving a legacy of music behind him.
The news of his sad passing was confirmed by his family in a statement, revealing that his wife Suzanne and children were near him when he died.
Although the immediate cause of death is yet to be confirmed, Alan battled against multiple sclerosis for nearly four decades.
The autoimmune disease pushed him to retire from his performances with The Osmond Brothers and other members.
The musician helped penning down several hit tracks which include One Bad Apple, Crazy Horses and Are You Up There?
Alan and Merrill are credited for laying the foundation of one of the “largest annual Independence Day celebrations” in the US.
He died a year after his brother Wayne Osmond passed away on January 1, 2025. Wayne was the founding member of the popular group.
At the time of writing, five of the original seven performers are left behind.
After the news was confirmed, tributes began pouring for the star with one X user writing: “We will never forget you Alan. Forever in our Hearts.
Another netizen shared on the platform: “He will truly be missed by so many. One of Utah’s finest.”
