Ariana Grande’s fans believe that the singer is about to drop a major clue about her eighth studio album on April 18.

The Eternal Sunshine singer has been heavily dropping hints about her next record dropping before her tour in June.

A post on the social media platform X by Pop Base simply said, “Today is April 18th,” with an image of the Wicked actress in a recording studio as well as a picture she shared of seven flowers with one looming against a green background.

Internet sleuths and Ariana’s fans all flocked the platform to speculate the significance of the date since the singer herself has not disclosed any plans for today until now.

One netizen wrote, “pop base never posted anything about announcements or rumors before, so something is definitely coming,” with a crying emoji.

Another remarked, “april 18th, 488 posts on instagram today, 8 years since no tears left to cry, pop base tweet, get ready for today's announcement.”

A third commented, “WAIT. this is the first time popbase has posted about the date pattern. something big is coming today,” and a fourth wrote, “something about this rollout feels so different from eternal sunshine, i’m so fucking ready.”
