Graham Norton opened up about his experience of starring in Taylor Swift’s Opalite music video.
The host of Graham Norton Show revealed how he earned his part in 90s themed Swift’s music video.
Recalling his chat with the Lover crooner, while speaking at a Q&A for his new reality ITV reality series The Neighbourhood, “I said to Taylor at the time, often in your 60s you begin to give up on your dream of appearing in a major pop video, but she made it happen for me… So, all in all, a really great experience.”
The video features Domhnall Gleeson as Swift’s love interest in a quirky storyline involving a cactus, a rock and a magical spray bottle called Opalite. Norton appears in a cameo promoting another spray.
He noted the fun atmosphere on set and credited Swift’s quick thinking after the show’s conversation for turning the causal chat into a star-studded project.
“I got an email saying Taylor Swift's people were interested in doing something, and I said, "What the hell is that going to be?" he said, adding, “she wrote up that whole mad story and asked us all to be in it. Surprise surprise, we all said yes!'”
In addition to Gleeson and Norton, the film also starred Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Cillian Murphy and Lewis Capaldi.
