RAYE has doubled down on her bold vow not to release another album until she falls in love, even if it takes a decade.
The 28-year-old south London singer, known for her heartbreak anthems, made the revelation shortly after telling fans on TikTok she is fed up of writing about failed romance and “men doing her wrong.”
Speaking to The Times, she said her third record is already titled And Then She Fell in Love and insisted no songs will be written until she experiences a new relationship chapter.
“Be it one year, five years, 10 years – I’m not writing a single song for it until I fall in love,” she said, repeating her firm stance.
The star, who recently released her second album This Music May Contain Hope, has joked that the decision is her “silent protest” against tired heartbreak themes.
She first teased the idea in a TikTok livestream in March, telling followers she was done with “this guy done me wrong” style tracks and ready for change.
Raye, born Rachel Agatha Keen in Tooting, also revealed she prefers staying offline, saying social media negativity can easily affect her mood and creativity.
“If I don’t see someone say I look awful in a dress, I’m happier,” she admitted, adding she relies more on her Bible app than scrolling Instagram.
The singer has previously spoken about her struggles with addiction and credited her Christian faith for helping her through her darkest periods.
Despite her break plans, she admits she remains a workaholic, saying she has been “feeding the beast” to keep her career momentum strong.
