Amanda Bynes, renowned for her She's the Man role is making a comeback in music industry.

On Friday, the retired actress released a new song called Girlfriend with Zabba and rapper Fenix Flexin.

The first new song she released in four years, dance track is based on Auto-Tune as Bynes sings, "My friends love hearing about you / I love everything you do / I wanna be your girlfriend."

A lot of EDM and rap were the major influences, though not the only ones, according to Bynes in People.

Create Music Group released the song and is available on streaming on Apple Music and Spotify. 

Her label termed it an infectious, repeatable song with a smooth West Coast bounce meant to be listened over and over again and appropriate on the playlist.

Since dropping acting in 2010, she has premiered various songs, such as 2021's Diamonds and 2022's Fairfax

In 2019, she graduated the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles and created a short-lived podcast in 2023.

Notably, in December, the 40-year-old posted that she had lost 30 pounds on Ozempic.

In April 2025, she announced that she had joined OnlyFans, writing: "I won't be posting any sleazy content. Excited to join."

The actress has mostly remained out of the limelight since her court battles and mental health issues in the 2010's.
