Lambrini Girls have taken to their social media to inform fans why the band will not be performing at Coachella this year.
The English punk rock band’s singer and guitarist Phoebe Lunny has suffered an injury, which she opened up about on Instagram, writing in the caption that fans were asking about why they were not in the music festival’s lineup anymore.
“We have to pull out of Coachella and reschedule our whole American headline tour,” an image in the carousel post read, adding, “Long story short: I fractured my neck and have an acute brain injury.”
They noted that the injury occurred amid a recent Australian tour and Lunny was misdiagnosed and faced late treatment resulting in doctors’ orders about travel and performance restrictions for six weeks.
“To all American ticket holders: it’s dark times, especially in the states. There are so many good folks who are carving out community and lifting each other up in the face of fascism. Making space for subversion and resistance is at the core of what this band is about,” the note read.
Lunny added that watching the band’s diverse crowd come together to mosh, lift each other up and rejoice is her greatest joy, and that the band was gutted to have missed out on this week’s performance at Coachella 2026 and hope to be able to play next year instead.
Notably, Lambrini Girls’ shows in the U.K. and Europe are expected to not be impacted since they are set for late May.
