Olivia Rodrigo shading ex Louis Partridge with ‘Drop Dead’ snippet?

Olivia Rodrigo has released a snippet of her upcoming single Drop Dead off of her third album, and fans are connecting it to her rumoured ex-boyfriend Louis Partridge.

The singer, who is set to drop her highly anticipated record You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love in June, took to her social media to tease her first single which will come out next Friday.

In the Tiktok, the 23-year-old could be spotted wearing two pins with three half-full glasses of beer in front of her with the text on the clip reading “I hope you never finish that beer” in pink font.

Olivia’s fans took to social media platforms such as X to note the obvious connection between her and the actor’s series House of Guinness with some pulling up screenshots of the time she praised his performance on the show.

One internet user wrote, “oh louis your done…” as another wrote their take, “I kinda interpreted it as I hope that he drops dead before he finishes his beer but idkkkkk.”

A third remarked, “olivia went from crying in the car to ‘i hope you never finish that beer’ over guinness pints in like three years. the progression from sad girl to petty girl has been so well paced it feels like a character arc on a show with good writers.”
