Madonna has revealed she took a leap of faith by sliding into Sabrina Carpenter's Instagram DMs.

Notably, the bold move landed the pair's hotly anticipated new collaboration.

The 67-year-old Queen of Pop admitted she wasn't even sure the Espresso singer would believe the message was genuine when she reached out to ask if she'd like to work together.

But Sabrina clearly did, and the result is Bring Your Love, the lead single from Madonna's upcoming album, Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II.

Speaking on The Graham Norton Show, Madonna laughed: "Sometimes you DM people and think, 'They're never going to believe it's really me.'

I just said, 'I'm making a new record, and I'd love to collaborate with you.' It ended up being Bring Your Love – it worked perfectly."

Despite the huge buzz surrounding the sequel to her smash-hit 2005 album, the Popular singer insisted she's keeping her expectations in check.

"I've been doing this for a long time," she said.

"Hope for the best, prepare for the worst."

She also reflected on the original Confessions on a Dance Floor, admitting its phenomenal success took her by surprise, while teasing that the new record tells "a whole story" and takes listeners on "a whole journey".

One of the album's most emotional moments comes with Fragile, a deeply personal song dedicated to her late brother Christopher Ciccone, who died in 2024 after battling cancer.

Like a Virgin hitmaker confessed she still hasn't played the track to her 95-year-old father, Silvio, for fear it might be too emotional.

Meanwhile, the Vogue icon has fuelled speculation she could finally headline Glastonbury next summer.

Teasing her future plans, Madonna hinted at "something bigger" after her promotional tour, coyly refusing to reveal more when pressed.
