Cruz Beckham is turning personal with his latest release, opening up about the emotional rollercoaster of growing up in the spotlight on his new single, Wear and Tear.
The 21-year-old singer-songwriter has unveiled the title track from his eagerly awaited debut EP, due for release on August 21, offering fans his most heartfelt music yet.
The indie-rock track continues the raw sound Cruz has been crafting alongside his band, The Breakers.
Despite being the son of football icon Sir David Beckham and fashion designer Lady Victoria Beckham, he insists the song is about experiences everyone can relate to.
Explaining the meaning behind the track, he said Wear and Tear reflects "a life lived" and the lessons that come from both the good times and the bad.
He added that while everyone's journey is different, people all share familiar emotions, including love, heartbreak, jealousy, pain and joy.
He said that those experiences leave everyone with their own "wear and tear".
The track has been produced by Justin Raisen and Lewis Pesacov, the acclaimed duo whose previous collaborators include Kim Gordon, Joji and Charli XCX, helping Cruz further establish his distinctive indie sound.
His debut EP arrives after a run of well-received singles, including Yeah Yeah Yeah, Waste Your Pain and For Your Love.
The rising star has also impressed audiences on stage.
Following a successful UK headline tour, which ended with three sold-out nights at London's Courtyard Theatre, he is preparing for his first-ever US headline tour this July.
He is also set to perform at major festivals including Reading and Leeds, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Rock N Roll Circus and Shaky Knees as his music career gathers serious momentum.
