Olivia Dean is officially having a moment and it’s one that’s putting her firmly in the same league as powerhouse icon Adele.
The 27-year-old neo-soul sensation has smashed a major milestone, with her hit Man I Need becoming the first song by a female artist since Adele’s Hello to top Pop, Adult Pop and Adult R’n’B radio charts.
And that’s not all as 2025 has been nothing short of a record-breaking whirlwind for the British chart darling.
She became the only female solo artist to land FOUR singles in the Official UK Top 10 at the same time, with Man I Need, So Easy (To Fall in Love), Nice To Each Other, and her collaboration Rein Me In with Sam Fender all storming the charts together.
Olivia also made history by becoming the first British female solo star since Adele to score three UK Top 10 singles in a single year.
Meanwhile, Man I Need dominated globally too, emerging as the highest-charting UK track on Spotify’s Global Chart.
If that wasn’t enough, she matched yet another Adele-era feat, scoring a Number 1 single and album at the same time with Man I Need and The Art of Loving.
The album also delivered the biggest opening week for a British female artist since Adele’s 30.
Despite her meteoric rise, Olivia isn’t rushing her next move.
With a huge arena tour on the horizon, she says she’s keen to “do some living” before diving back into the studio.
