Niall Horan opened up the last days of One Direction and how it was all pre-planned.

The popular English Irish band was formed in 2010 on the X-Factor and included Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, late Liam Payne and Horan.

The band went on a hiatus in 2016 for an indefinite period with each member now pursuing their solo careers.

After almost 10 years since it got disbanded, the Slow Hands singer in an interview on Tommy Tiernan Show for RTE, admitted that he and his band mates knew that it was all coming to an end.

"We knew it was coming to an end about a year out. You have to plan, obviously, right? We are not gonna make another album.”

He added, “We are not gonna make another tour. But you're still going, it's not gonna stop. And I just remember being like, just sad it was over, just because we had a great time.”

The Dinner Party crooner, recalled, “Travelling the world, playing to an average of about 65.000 people a night in every corner of the globe. I was just loving it. I was just having the greatest time ever."

Following the hiatus, all five members went on to explore their solo careers. However, Payne tragically passed on October 16, 2024 after falling off from balcony in a hotel in Argentina.

As of now, the surviving members of the band, Tomlinson has released his album How Did I Get Here in January. Styles dropped Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally in March.

Meanwhile, Malik and Horan are looking forward to releasing their new records on April 17 and June 5 respectively.
