Olivia Rodrigo teases new music with subtle nod to ex Louis Partridge

Olivia Rodrigo sparked speculations among fans after hitting her hinting her first single from You Seem Too Sad for A Girl So in Love.

The Driver’s Licence singer new single has risen theories that the new single might be a breakup anthem about her and Louis Partridge relationship.

She shared her first single on Instagram with teaser of song, Drop Dead, along with lyric written over the clip, "I hope you never finish that beer."

The video behind the lyric showed three half-filled pints of beer on table.

The eagle-eyed fans were left in frenzy with the details as many related it to Partridge's show House of Guinness.

"Oh it’s over for Louis," a fan wrote on social media.

Another fan, sharing pictures of Partridge with the pint, wrote, “U don’t under, there’s literally layers to this.”

House of Guinness, the historical drama starring Partridge came out in 2025 and the Favourite Crime hitmaker gave a shout out to her then-boyfriend on her Stories.

The former couple started dating in 2023 after meeting through mutual friends. However, they reportedly split in December 2025 after a difficult period. A source admitted saying it was better for them to be apart.

Rodrigo’s Drop Dead is set to release on April 17.
