Olivia Rodrigo’s new album tracklist sparks frenzy among fans

Olivia Rodrigo has sent fans into a frenzy after revealing the two-part tracklist for her highly anticipated third album, You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love.

The 23-year-old hitmaker confirmed the record will land on June 12 and is split into two distinct chapters titled Girl So In Love and You Seem Pretty Sad, hinting at a rollercoaster of romance, longing and emotional chaos.

Alongside the reveal, she took to Instagram to share her excitement, writing, “only 3 weeks till the album is yours!!! i can’t wait for you guys to hear these songs.”

The pop star has opened up about drawing inspiration from her “first big girl relationship”, admitting that writing about happiness proved far more difficult than heartbreak.

Speaking on Audacy Check In, Olivia explained: “I think the challenge for me was to write songs about romantic love positively. 

I was really in love… and writing a song about happiness is a lot harder than writing a song about heartbreak.”

But it wasn’t all sunshine and romance as the deja vu singer said the album also dives into the darker side of love, including jealousy, yearning and missing someone when they’re away.

The album’s unusual title came from a casual comment by her producer Dan Nigro, who told her, “You seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.” 

Olivia immediately knew she had her album name.

The tracklist promises a mix of playful and emotional titles, including Stupid Song, Honey Bee, The Cure and Cigarette Smoke, reflecting the bittersweet tone of the project.
