Global superstars BTS proved once again that their loyal ARMY fanbase is an unstoppable force after the K-pop kings stormed to victory at the 2026 American Music Awards on Monday night.

Fresh from scooping Song of the Summer for their smash hit SWIM, the seven-piece sensation capped off the evening by landing the biggest prize of all, Artist of the Year.

The fan-voted category saw BTS beat a jaw-dropping line-up including Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen and Sabrina Carpenter.

Presenter Busta Rhymes handed over the trophy before the emotional group shared heartfelt messages with fans who have stood by them through military service, solo projects and their massive reunion comeback.

Leader RM thanked ARMYs around the globe for supporting the band over the past 13 years, calling the award “precious” and crediting fans for making the victory possible.

Meanwhile, J-hope admitted the group had been “overwhelmed” by the response to comeback album ARIRANG, while Jimin thanked fans for packing out tour dates across the world.

The boys also lit up the AMAs stage with a high-energy performance of Hooligan, proving their comeback era is bigger than ever.

Their album ARIRANG already debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 earlier this year, giving BTS their seventh chart-topping record and after this massive AMAs sweep, fans are convinced the Bangtan Boys are officially untouchable.
