Sombr became the talk of the town at the American Music Awards this year, by winning, delivering an iconic performance and getting a shout-out from Queen Latifah.
The 20-year-old was first and foremost mentioned by the Last Holiday actress and host of the evening during her opening monologue as she went over the night’s attendees.
Later on during the night, the 12 to 12 singer won the first award of the night in the Best Alternative/Rock Song category for Back to Friends and then went on to perform his latest single for the crowd.
Sombr donned a half-open black button-down shirt and leather bell-bottoms with black eyeliner, passionately singing Homewrecker.
As the pop-rock star got to the final chorus of the song, rain began to drop from the ceiling and fully drenched him and his band as he flipped his hair back during the thrilling performance.
Sombr, whose real name is Shane Michael Boose, ended it by wiping his face which smudged across it and added to the grunge, sad boy vibe.
Notably, the Grammy winner has achieved a lot of success ever since he went viral on Tiktok, with his songs making an impact on charts.
