Italian American DJ Anyma has issued a statement online following the cancellation of his Coachella performance, which was halted due to safety risks caused by strong winds at the venue.
The update was released through Coachella’s official social channels, confirming the performance had been taken off the lineup.
“Due to strong winds affecting Anyma’s stage build, he is unable to perform tonight,” the statement read.
“Coachella and Anyma have made this decision together your safety as the priority.”
Taking to the comments, he addressed fans directly, writing, “I’m sorry everyone. We’ve done everything in our control to build the show I’ve worked an entire year on. Safety always comes first and we’re working on a solution now.”
However, it remains unknown if the cancelled set will happen later, although he is still expected to take the stage on Saturday night.
For the unversed, Anyma was set to hit the main stage at midnight, right after Sabrina Carpenter’s headline performance on Coachella's opening night.
