Justin Baldoni to testify in major trial amid legal battle with Blake Lively

Justin Baldoni is preparing to testify in the upcoming It Ends With Us trial, even after being dismissed as a defendant in the high-profile legal dispute with Blake Lively.

According to new court filings, the actor and director intends to take the stand to challenge what his legal team has described as a “smear campaign” linked to Lively’s allegations. 

The move marks a significant development as the case heads toward trial, scheduled to begin on May 18 in New York.

According to People, the legal battle stems from a lawsuit filed by Lively in December 2024, in which she accused Baldoni of misconduct during the production of It Ends With Us. 

However, a judge recently dismissed 10 of her 13 claims, including allegations of harassment, defamation and conspiracy, narrowing the scope of the case considerably.

Despite the dismissal, several claims, including retaliation and breach of contract tied to Baldoni’s company, Wayfarer Studios, will still proceed to trial. 

As per the outlet, Lively’s legal team has maintained that the core of her complaint remains intact, while Baldoni’s side continues to deny any wrongdoing.

The case has drawn widespread attention due to the stars’ prominence and the controversy surrounding the 2024 film’s production. 

Furthermore, both parties are now locked in disputes over witness lists and trial preparations as proceedings approach.
