Director Kat Coiro has thrown her full support behind Regé-Jean Page, declaring him the “perfect” man to take over the iconic role of James Bond.

The 38-year-old actor has long been rumoured as a contender to replace Daniel Craig, and now insiders reckon the momentum is building once again.

Kat, who recently directed the actor in the romcom You, Me and Tuscany, couldn’t hide her admiration.

“He really does bring that pathos and gravitas,” she gushed, hinting that his serious edge could be exactly what Bond needs next.

And it appears that the suave Bridgerton heart-throb's charm isn’t just limited to action credentials.

His co-star Halle Bailey revealed the set was left swooning after he unexpectedly showed off his vocal talents.

In one standout moment, he serenaded her character with Let Me Love You, leaving the entire crew impressed.

“Everybody was laughing… and we were all blown away,” Halle admitted, calling his performance “pretty darn good”.

Off-screen, Regé-Jean has also been opening up about his love for romantic comedies, insisting the genre plays a vital role in modern culture.

“Who doesn’t want to swoon?” he teased, before adding that stories about love are what truly connect people across generations.

While Bond bosses are still keeping tight-lipped about the next 007, fans are already convinced.

Black Bag actor might just be the licence-to-kill successor the franchise has been waiting for with his mix of sophistication, depth and undeniable charisma.
