Bryon Allen is opening up about the things he will do differently since his talk show is replacing Stephen Colbert’s.

The time slot for the 62-year-old’s show is being taken over by the 65-year-old’s with Comics Unleashed after the former’s show got axed by CBS.

In an appearance on CBS Mornings the new host stated that his comedy talk show will not contain any politics, which is a stark shift from its predecessor.

"No. No politics, that’s it. You come, you laugh. I created the show 20 years ago and we’re about to have our 20th anniversary this fall. The 20th anniversary of Comic’s Unleashed, 20 years of laughter. We’ve had on a thousand comedians — every shape and size, you name it,” Allen stated.

He added, “I want to bring people together using comedy,” and said of Colbert’s removal, “"I think it was a very unfortunate event. I love Stephen Colbert. I’m a big fan. Once they made the decision, I said, ‘OK, this isn’t show business, this is business show.’”

The comedian went on to add that he suggested that they could save money and hold on to the former Comedy Central host’s audience by building on it, and explained that he loves Colbert and would want to support him any way he can.
