Stephen Colbert has had a number of high-profile guests for the final shows of his talk show before it goes off air and Robert De Niro is one of them.

The comedian brought out celebrity pals such as Martha Stewart and Aubrey Plaza among others for the penultimate episode along with The Godfather actor all of whom took turns interviewing the host as part of the sendoff.

During the episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the Academy Award winner asked the host what number he was thinking of.

Stephen replied, “There’s a hint as to what the answer is, because whenever somebody answers the question and gives the wrong answer, I always say no; and when I give the right answer, which has happened at least twice…Ethan Hawke goes immediately, ‘I know what it is. It’s three…”

“Ok, because I thought it would have been two million point five, or two and a half million. That’s the number of Epstein files Trump still hasn’t released,” Robert, who is an avid critic of Trump quipped in response.

The director has also stated of the axing that he has a number of memorable interviews with Stephen as a guest and compliment his personality.
