Nicholas Galitzine recalls He-Man casting 'pinch me' moment

Nicholas Galitzine got real about the feeling of being handed the iconic role of He-Man in Masters of the Universe.

Speaking to the outlet at the movie’s premiere, the 31-year-old actor described the experience as emotional and reflective, especially given his early struggles in the industry.

In an interview with the Entertainment Tonight, he said, “It is surreal. I was just telling. The guys, I remember coming out here exactly where we’re standing as a 20-year-old you know when I’d come out here for pilot season and I’d stay here for three months and sleep on people’s couches.”

He continued, “I thought If I could ever have a movie here that would be pretty amazing and so it’s very pinch me. But I’m trying to sort of soak it all in.”

However, in a separate interview with Empire Magazine, he admitted that converting into He-Man was physically demanding.

“I think anyone seeing that iconic physique would find it extremely daunting,” he mentioned, reflecting on the challenge of preparing for the role.

For the unversed, the film, which features a star studded cast such as, Idris Elba, Jared Leto, Camila Mendes, and Alison Brie, is slated for a theatrical release on June 5, 2026.
