Selena Gomez pairs up with Cate Blanchett in new Brady Corbet’s movie

Selena Gomez has teamed up for the first time with Cate Blanchett in new Brady Corbet’s upcoming movie.

The Tar actress shares this news about working with the moviemaker while speaking at a masterclass at the Cannes Film Festival over the weekend.

While details of the movie have not been released, the InSneider earlier reported that Selena would star opposite Michael Fassbender in her forthcoming movie.

However, Brady gave a peek into his new project as he claimed he wanted to make an “X-rated” movie set in the 1970s during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“The film spans from the 19th century into the present day — it’s just predominantly focused on the ’70s. The film is really, really genre-defying,” he told the outlet.

It is pertinent to note that the movie will shoot on “very rare eight-perf 65mm cameras, and at the Dublin Storyhouse screenwriting festival last month, he also mentioned that the upcoming movie will be lengthy in duration.” as per Variety.

Meanwhile, at the work front, Selena has finished filming the Wizards Beyond Waverly Place four-part finale, a movie where she also made her directorial debut.

Cate, on the other hand, last made an appearance in the espionage thriller Black Bag, which was released in March.
