‘Iron Man’ star talks about starring in the third installment of ‘Sherlock Holmes’
Robert Downey Jr recently drops major update about third Sherlock Holmes movie at the 2026 Lincoln Centre Spring Gala.
The Iron Man star, who was accompanied with his wife Susan Downey at the event, speaks to Associated Press and responds to a query about a follow-up to the 2009’s Sherlock Holmes and its 2011 sequel.
To this, Robert replies, “I don’t know.”
“People are talking about it, but she’s the producer,” adds the 61-year-old, while mentioning his wife.
It is pertinent to note that Robert’s wife Susan, who is also an Emmy award-winning producer, has produced several Hollywood series and movies, including some that also features her husband in it.
While talking about big-screen adaptations of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s fictional story, the actor says that his wife Susan will “have the last word”.
“It’s the greatest mystery,” quips Robert’s wife.
For the unversed, Guy Ritchie directed both Sherlock Holmes movies, which starred Jude Law, Rachel McAdams, Mark Strong, Noomi Rapace and Jared Harris.
