Kevin Hart is riding high after his latest comedy special, The Roast of Kevin Hart, quickly emerged as Netflix’s biggest TV release of the week, just days after its debut.
Based on latest reports, the special drew 13.5 million views in the May 11–17 tracking period, making it the week’s top-performing TV title on Netflix.
As per Deadline, the numbers also place it in comparison with the streamer’s 2024 success The Roast of Tom Brady, which remains one of its most watched comedy specials.
For those unversed, the Tom Brady roast originally opened with 2 million viewers in a single night before reaching 13.8 million views in its first full week.
However, Hart’s edition landed just slightly behind that benchmark, coming in at nearly a two percent difference in total first week viewership.
The Jumanji: The Next Level star shared his reaction on Instagram on Tuesday, May 19, thanking fans for the overwhelming response.
"Love and appreciate you guys!!!!!! #ComedicRockStarShit …. @netflix," he wrote.
The roast originally premiered as a live event from the Kia Forum in Inglewood, serving as the finale of Netflix Is a Joke Fest before its streaming release on May 10, 2026.
