Alana Haim confirms major detail about ‘The Drama’

Alana Haim has confirmed that the upcoming A24 film, The Drama, starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, will have some difficult themes.

The film has already garnered much buzz after reports of the plot twist being sensitive to some audiences made headlines, and the Haim member has seemingly reiterated the reactions.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 34-year-old said, ““I saw it with some of my friends. We got an early screening and it was really crazy the amount of discussion that happened after the movie.”

“There are going to be very hard discussions or very funny discussions or very sad discussions. It kind of runs the gamut of emotion with this movie — and I think that without this movie, a lot of people wouldn't be talking about those things, which is why you make art,” Alana added.

The Licorice Pizza star plays a friend of the soon to be wed couple Rachel in the film, and finds the bride-to-be, Emma’s confession during a game to be unforgiveable.

It has been spoiled via reports of early screenings that the confession included Zendaya’s character planning a school shooting but not going through with it.
