'SNL' skips new episode ahead of Jack Black hosting

SNL left fans wondering about a new episode as NBC aired an older episode on March 28, 2026 for their viewers.

It was announced that the new part would feature Jack Black as the host of the show while Jack White will be invited as a musical guest.

However, that did not happen this weekend as the broadcast took a break with a promise to return on April 4 with all the stars.

The break was intentional as the series pauses between “its 39-week production” to avoid fatigue of the cast, including writers and performers.

The Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungl‪e actor would make an appearance as the host for the fifth time. It is scheduled to air at 11:30 pm.

When is Colman Domingo hosting SNL?

For the next weekend, Colman Domingo is expected to be taking the stage as a host for the first time, officially making debut on April 11, 2026.

Meanwhile, SNL UK has won hearts which is being aired on Sky One and is available for streaming on Peacock every week.

According to many, the British version has “got some absolutely classic sketches, while a fan was of the opinion that it is “much funnier than current SNL USA by a very wide margin.”
