Shakira has done it again and this time she’s smashed records in spectacular style.

The 49-year-old Colombian superstar drew a staggering crowd of more than 400,000 fans to Mexico City’s iconic Zócalo.

She marked the largest audience ever recorded at the historic square.

Notably, the free show turned the heart of the capital into a pulsating sea of music, colour and pure celebration.

Fans travelled from across Mexico to witness the milestone moment, with giant screens set up in surrounding streets to cope with the overwhelming turnout.

Extra viewing areas were created at Alameda Central and the Monument to the Revolution, as crowds packed every possible corner just to catch a glimpse of their idol.

Shakira had the enormous audience in the palm of her hand, delivering hit after hit including Hips Don’t Lie, Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) and Don’t Bother

At times, it felt less like a concert and more like the world’s biggest street party.

She was also joined by fellow Colombian artist Beéle, who stepped on stage to debut their brand-new collaboration Algo Tú, officially released on May 4.

The record-breaking night adds fresh momentum to her upcoming return to Rio de Janeiro, where she will headline the free Todo Mundo No Rio concert at Copacabana Beach on May 2.

With her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour already crowned the highest-grossing Hispanic tour in history.
