Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi shared their thoughts on the obsessive and complex love story of Heathcliff and Catherine in Wuthering Heights.

The Australian actors star in Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Emily Bronte's classic novel.

Weighing in on their toxic love story, the Barbie actress in conversation with the Entertainment Weekly confessed, "Cathy's just a b---h."

Explaining her reason why she revealed that Heathcliff wouldn’t want her in any other way "that’s why it’s so great" and "he's watching the worst of Cathy and is, if anything, loving her even more."

The Frankenstein star also noted that there is something strangely uplifting how the two seem to delight in their shared cruelty.

"If you are willing to spite me and hurt me, that means that you love me and vice versa," he explained.

He admitted that this is the toxic nature of complicated love, where even negative emotions feel meaningful, because "if it's towards me, it's about me, so then we're connected."

Wuthering Heights, the gothic novel by Emily Bronte that tells the story of the passionate, yet destructive, love between Catherine and Heathcliff.
