Ellen DeGeneres has recently made a comeback to Hollywood with her new project.
The comedian will be voice of Dory for a new short movie set within the Finding Nemo universe, as reported by Deadline.
The outlet revealed that the production will begin later this year. No other details on the project are available as of yet.
Ellen however confirmed the news by sharing a screenshot of Deadline’s report on her Instagram on April 24.
Captioning the post, she wrote, “Excited about this.”
Fans were ecstatic to learn that Ellen is going to be the voice of Dory.
One said, “This is incredible news.”
Another remarked, “So excited Ellen @ellendegeneres to see you making a comeback! You have been missed! Love you Ellen!”
“That’s such good news! We miss you Ellen,” added a third one.
There were a few who were not happy with this news, some called it “cringe” or even said how Disney could allow a “pedo” to be in the project.
Earlier in November 2024, a source told PEOPLE that Ellen had moved to the UK after finding a house.
“Ellen was in England house hunting in the beginning of October. She ended up finding a house that she loved and purchased it shortly after,” stated an insider.
