Kat Graham issues statement about Diana Ross scenes cut from ‘Michael’

Kat Graham has issued a shocking statement about her role in the newly released Michael Jackson biopic Michael, explaining why she won’t be appearing in the film.

The actress was set to play Diana Ross, The Supremes singer whom the Thriller hit maker described as a ‘mother, sister and lover all combined in one’ but the portrayal did not make the final cut.

In a statement on her X, The Vampire Diaries star wrote “Ahead of the April 24 release of the Michael Jackson film, I want to share that certain legal considerations affected a few scenes, including ones I filmed with an incredible cast.”

“Unfortunately, these moments are no longer part of the final cut, though the team worked hard to preserve as much of the story as possible,” Kat added.

The film has, as per early reviews, avoided shining a light on some of the more contentious aspects and scandals faced by the late star.

According to reports, the initial, longer version of the movie was set to feature scenes showing Michael dealing with child sexual abuse allegations and likely also contained the scenes featuring his interactions and relationship with the 82-year-old.
