Scary Movie 6 has released their first poster and trailer on a very timely occasion, dropping soon after the release of the biopic on the iconic singer called Michael.
The film’s first look takes multiple jabs at the Thriller hit maker’s controversies using taglines like 'Prepare to Hee-Hee' that nod to his ad-libs.
The second, and more notable one 'Touching Fans Everywhere' which is referring to the icon’s child abuse allegations controversy had a more divisive effect.
Scary Movie’s series are known for parodying other more serious films, and it appears that rather ambitiously, the sixth installment by the Wayans brothers is targeting the documentary that has freshly been released.
It seems that a number of internet users did not approve, however, because they took to social media to discuss how the tagline was actually disrespectful.
One netizen wrote on X, “Even in death yall still can’t leave this man alone,” while another observed, “If this is not attempt to hurt Michael movie then idk what is. They are doing everything on purpose.”
A third remarked on the platform, “They wouldn't satirize Eptsein or Diddy, right? It must be because they're involved, right?” and fourth commented, “Wow, mocking an innocent man with false allegations that were levied against him is really f***ing shitty.”
Notably, other user found it funny and did not mind the edginess of the tagline to be too offensive and argued that we should not be as sensitive.
