Mariska Hargitay has dished some new information about the longest-running primetime drama on American television, Law & Order: SVU as it nears the end of the 27th season.
The actress who plays detective Olivia Benson in the series has revealed her expectation for the show as well as how it fits in her schedule.
In an interview with Deadline, the show’s producer was asked about if she thinks the show will make to 30 seasons.
“I do. How about that? I do.I love my show. I love my cast. I love my showrunner, my writers, my producers. I feel like the luckiest, happiest actress. I love Dick Wolf, and I’m so challenged still,” Mariska replied.
The 62-year-old went on to say that one of the most exciting things was that they had just finished season 27 and that she believed the final episode was the best one of the season,
“So, I don’t want to go anywhere right now. It’s been amazing. The show really knows how to work with my schedule — I shot my movie, I figured out how to do it, I’m going to do a play now on Broadway,” Mariska added.
The Emmy winner was also asked about if she believes Law and Order: SVU could go on for 35 seasons to which replied that they should aim to get to 30 first.
