Severance has kept fans hooked about the lives of their favourite characters from the show, as well as their innies but it appears the latest update has only added to the anger of the masses.
The show is set to undergo many changes including the previously reported major one, which is that Ben Stiller will not be directing the next season, or the one after that.
In an extensive report, Deadline gave various updates on the future of the sci-fi thriller, including the fact that the showrunners do not plan to continue the original plot line beyond four seasons, and would rather expand the universe with spin-offs.
“Apple hopes to start shooting in the summer,” the outlet revealed, explaining that this is because the scripts are still being written, and episodes 7 and above are in an outline stage.
Internet users took to social media platforms like X to complain about the fact that season 3 still hasn’t begun filming after season 3 ended in March of 2025.
“What the f*** do you mean they haven’t started shooting yet? The entire entertainment industry is such a bag of d**ks,” one netizen wrote, as another added, “Uuuuugh… it’s going to be FOREVER before we get the next season.”
It is unclear as of yet if Merritt will be reprising her role in the third season of Severance, as the show’s creators have yet to spill the details about the highly anticipated installment.
