Harry Styles broke his silence on unexpected appearance at the Pope's conclave election on May 8, 2025.
During his three-year hiatus from the music industry, the Grammy winner spend his time away from spotlight busying himself doing side quests, like helping someone find their phone from under the car, parallel parking for fans in Rome and running marathon in Berlin and Tokyo.
One more interesting activity he did off-screens was attending the Pope selection.
In an appearance at the BBC Radio 1, the As it Was singer revealed why he was there.
The Sign of the Times hitmaker recalled being at a salon for haircut in Rome when everyone started shouting, "'Habemus papam!'"
Soon after his barber also repeated the same phrase and stopped cutting Styles' hair.
The singer then realised he was at "five-minute walk from there" and decided to attend the historic event.
The interviewer, Greg James then joked that Pope might be the only person who can upstage someone like the hit British musician.
The One Direction former band member, sarcastically agreed quipping, "I was like, 'Who's this getting all this attention?'"
The Golden crooner is set to make his musical comeback after three years.
He has released his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, debut single, Aperture.
About the song, the 31-year-old star said that it "came last" in the creative process.
"It was kind of amazing for me," he said. "We has most of the album done, and a lot of it was exploring a lot of the themes that I think the song is exploring."
Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally is slated to be released on March 6.
