Connor Storrie, who plays fan-favourite Ilya Rozanov on the Crave and HBO Max smash hit, is set to make headlines with a major career moment.
The 25-year-old actor will step into the late-night spotlight for the first time when he appears on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday, January 12.
His upcoming chat show outing follows closely after news that his on-screen love interest, Hudson Williams, is also heading to late-night TV.
Williams is scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon just days earlier, on Wednesday, January 7, marking another milestone for the breakout series and its rising stars.
Since debuting in November, Heated Rivalry has quickly become one of the most talked-about series of the season, exploding in popularity across Canada and internationally after HBO Max snapped up the rights shortly before its release.
With late-night debuts and a devoted fanbase behind them, it’s clear Heated Rivalry isn’t just a hit but instead it’s a moment.
Adapted from the beloved Game Changers novels, the series follows the secret romance between rival hockey players Ilya and Shane Hollander, whose relationship evolves from stolen moments to something deeply emotional.
The six-episode run builds to a powerful finale, where the couple finally get two uninterrupted weeks together, exchange heartfelt “I love yous,” and face the world as Shane comes out to his parents with Ilya firmly by his side.
Speaking to Variety, Storrie revealed the finale was his favourite part of the journey, praising creator Jacob Tierney’s writing for slowing things down and letting the emotions breathe.
“People don’t realise it,” he said, “but this story is really about falling in love at a distance.”
