Stranger Things, which earned a record-breaking viewership, has been applauded for its detailed-story writing and Easter eggs.
After the three episodes debuted on Netflix, fans pinpointed a minor detail and debated about the possibility of it being anachronism.
As it is known that the story of the kids takes place in 1987, around 19 months after Hawkins tore apart, the online community have come up with a new theory.
After attempting to escape Camazotz with Max, Holly Wheeler wakes up in dimension X (abyss). The young girl, played by Nell Fisher, tears apart the flesh-like cocoons.
A zoom-in revealed she wore a clothing with Under Armour logo that did not exist until 1996. Although it appears to be a wardrobe mistake, many admirers think of it as an Easter egg.
A netizen on Threads shared a clip of himself analysing the scene, asking others: “Is this the Time Travel Theory confirmed in Stanger Things Season 5 chapter 2?”
However, several poked fun at the miss out with one referencing Game of Thrones influence, writing: “Duffer [Brothers] pulling a Game of Thrones Starbucks cup 2.0”
Was there anachronism in Game of Thrones?
GOT is said to accidentally feature a modern day cup in Season 8, Episode 4 “The Last of the Starks,” which premiered in 2019.
