Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' first trailer falls short of expectations

Christopher Nolan, known as a critically acclaimed director, has returned with his much-awaited project The Odyssey.

While the Greek Mythology is expected to release in July next year, the first look was unleashed that drew reactions from the viewers.

The online community surprisingly criticised the clip for various reasons with one Instagram user calling it a “boring movie from Nolan.”

Another netizen was of the opinion that the trailer was “underwhelming” but will stream because of the famous filmmaker directing the project.

Several criticised the casting for the movie with one netizen sharing opinion about having Matt Damon, noting that he “feels a bit too mainstream and overexposed.”

Meanwhile, someone suggested that “Charlie Hunnam would be more suitable for the role,” referring to his “Greek features” to play the part.

The upcoming movie noticeably features Mia Goth, Anne Hathaway, Elliot Page, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Tom Holland, his fiancé Zendaya and others.

Will The Odyssey be a flop?

Christopher’s The Odyssey still has a chance to perform well at the box office as the first look merely teased roles of the star cast.

His other projects include Interstellar, Oppenheimer, Inception, The Dark Knight, Man of Steel, Justice of League, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and many more.
